Thank you all for the comments. The painting is one of my Juicy Fruit Series which have a humorous element... each painting is a visual pun. In Afrikaans, the word for "nut" (as in nuts & bolts) is "moer". Strong black coffee in Afrikaans is "moerkoffie"... hence the nut in the painting.
